1/72 C-130J engine set

Postby WedgieSock2 » Wed Jun 27, 2012 10:17 am

Dear Oz Mods,
Do the engine sets come with a guide to set the props straight? I would think they would be a bugger to align!
Maybe there is a hint and tips section on this?

Thanks

Warren

Hi Warren:

No, we did not include a template to set the blades. (None of our other kits/packs with separate blades have one, either.) There would undoubtedly be some tips around somewhere, but I haven't had a chance to check.

I hope that Greg and our esteemed editor won't mind if I mention that we are hoping to have a build review on AMI soonish.

The original kit doesn't have any template or jig and I didn't find it too difficult when I built the 1/48 version. This from a modeller who will stuff things up given half a chance!
I'm not older than dirt, but I do remember when it was new.

A template for the C-130J six-blade prop set-up is available from OzMods. Price is a mere Aus$4.40. See it at http://www.ozmods-kits.com/ozmods-conve ... sories-172
