New OzMods' 1/144 F-111

Postby gregozmods » Sat Sep 22, 2012 5:26 pm

What the 1/144 world needs is an accurate F-111 ... and OzMods will have a brand new injected kit out early in 2013. Mastering for it is almost completed by Chris Osley ... this guy knows them back-to-front and inside-out! This kit will be available in long wing and short wing, and will also take existing OzMods' conversions to turn it into cancelled Naval B, or the EF SparkVark. Also, you can hang just about anything under it - check out the OzMods' 1/144 weapons range at http://www.ozmods-kits.com Will keep you all posted.

just bought the old lindberg 1/135th kit, its out of scale as well although its closer to scale than academy kit and just as primitive.
a heavilly modified arii kit is still the way to go for the time being!

Hows the resin masters coming along Greg? 8-)

For all you keen F-111 fans,
Here is a sneak peek of the resin fuselage master and Ozmods F-111G tail for size comparison to the Ozmods Bae Hawk T.2. The resin wings and Vertical Tails are already done by Ozmods and are to scale so minimal things like wing pivot position needs slight changing from the Arii kit they were originally made for. The rear horizontal stabiliser mounts will be done separate to the fuselage to allow for pointy pre production variants aswell as later variants with flare and chaff dispensers.

Feedback is welcome!

Cheers,
Chris.

Interesting..... :geek:

If they're going to be as detailed and loaded up with weapons like the Dragon kit's...and a similar price, then I'll buy two or three for sure.do the SAE and Grey versions obviously.

Some progress is being made and Greg will see it shortly for next stage of moulding to be done. I'm sure Ozmods have quite a few resin and plastic weapons that he has moulded already as i used some of his phoenix missiles when building the 1/144 F-111B so which ones would you want in the kit?

I'd like mine to be bombed up big time!! Stack on some old school 1,000 pounders on wing pods and is be happy. Will it come with Pavtack?

trying to have the pave-tack and recce bay included, could always do a similar configuration as the photo or snake eyes but i always like the harpoon and paveway option over dumb bombs.

I never knew they had so many hard points under the wings. Could they sweep them back with that load?
