The club meets weekly on Thursday nights 7:30pm till 10:30pm, but as we don't have a clubhouse we move around between member's houses. Our meetings are not really meetings, but rather a gathering of friends who build models. We hold a Model competition annually in Rockhampton on the first Saturday in February. |
The RSMA is a small casual group of about 20 modelers who have different skill levels and have interests in all areas of scale model building. Civil, military, vehicles and aircraft, boats and ships, Sci Fi, trucks, dioramas, figures and others. |

We are a group of modellers who meet on a regular basis to share ideas about the hobby of plastic scale model building. Our group consists of people who range in age from 11 years old to 77 years old who are all dedicated to their hobby. We are a social group and have club meetings every second month, and enjoy a number of social events in between these meetings. Some of our members also host "build" afternoons at their house to share ideas and show each other what their current project or projects are. |

IPMS Australia is the second oldest branch of the worldwide IPMS fraternity, having been formed in Melbourne in 1964. The Society caters for plastic model builders with a wide range of interests including aircraft, military vehicles and equipment, cars and trucks, ships, figures and science fiction models. Most members build their models from commercially available kits to which many add various degrees of refinement or modification. Other modellers build their subjects from scratch. Variety is the spice of life and the number of subjects covered by model kits these days is truly staggering. IPMS Australia caters for the lot. |

Established in 1990, “Eastern Suburbs” has members from all over the city and even further afield. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) from 7:30pm at Box Hill Community Arts Centre on the corner of Station Street and Combarton Road, Box Hill 3128 (Melway 47/D11). |
Eastern Suburbs caters to anyone interested in the hobby of scale modelling and there are no restrictions whatsoever to the genre or material. Meetings are held in an informal and laid back atmosphere and nothing is taken too seriously – especially competition. Our main emphasis is on enjoyment of the hobby and a free exchange of ideas and techniques. Visitors and new members are warmly welcomed in a friendly and non-critical atmosphere and nitpickers and rivet-counters are ignored. A raffle with at least three quality kit prizes is held at every meeting. We are particularly keen to promote our hobby to the general public, and young people especially, rather than the established modelling community. |
