History/Significance When 75 Sqns Mirage IIIO(F) were returned to Australia in September 1969 in exchange for IIIO(A) modified aircraft 75 Sqn a/c were redistributed to the other Australian based squadrons and A3-44 ended up with 76 Squadron. This a/c was easily distinguishable as an ex-75 Sqn machine due to the lack of red scalloping around the intakes. In 1973 it was still with 76 Squadron and the scalloping had been returned. It was later used as a training aid at RAAF Kingswood. It's current status is unknown.
