Introduction

The Meteor Mk 7 a two seat trainer aircraft used by the RAAF for the training of pilots for the Mk 8 Meteor. This update set is design for the MPM/Extrakit/Airfix 1/72 Meteor Mk 7 kit.

The Instructions

The instructions on this update set are written by Richard Hourigan and come with his very detailed and precise instructions on how to use the set. These instructions show the Engineer in Richard! You receive 8 pages of instructions with detailed measurements, colour photo's and technical drawings that enable the modeller to eliminate a great deal of the guess work in using the set.

The set

In this set you receive:

  • 1 x Nose wheel leg door;
  • 1 x 25 gauge hypodermic needle;
  • 2 x V shaped 0.010 wire
  • 1 x wafer of six engine vents;
  • 2 x small diameter air intakes;
  • 1 x left hand inner wing leading edge;
  • 2 x exhaust pipes;
  • 2 x centralising washers; and
  • 2 x locating bushes.

The parts are a light grey colour and are smooth and well cast.

Recommendation

I highly recommend this update set for those with the MPM kit as it will add an extra bit of detail to it.
